This roll top desk and curio cabinet dates from the 1880s. It entered our family in the 1920's when my great aunt and great uncle bought it. It then came to my parents' living room in the 1970's and I was given it by my dad after he moved into senior housing in 2011 following my mom's passing. The desk had become discolored and was quite dark with some external finish markings over the years. It was refinished by the crew at Greg's Refinishing in spring, 2012. The result is stunning. The desk's beauty is much more apparent, with burled maple on the roll top and on decorative pieces, following the refinishing. I have had very many compliments about the beautiful refinishing job that Greg and his coworkers did.
